Database-oriented backend developer

You have the chance to join us in building world-class software within an infrastructure containing hundreds of servers and databases. You get to design schemas, join data and deploy migrations. The role is essential as your databases handle large-scale data and enable multi-million euro businesses.

From these databases we craft or generate REST and GraphQL APIs. Our backend service utilize Postgres, Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL ja Java -technologies

In addition to servers and databases, the infrastructure consists of 1000+ client devices and million+ monthly users. We manage our infrastructure with Debian, Ansible, Docker and Gitlab CI.

You'll be visiting our client every now and then but otherwise, work mainly from our own offices or remotely. We have offices in central locations of Helsinki, Turku and Jyväskylä.

Please note: this role requires proficiency in both written and spoken Finnish.

• Previous work experience with large databases or APIs
• You’re a team player who enjoys working in a fast-moving environment  
• You have a proactive approach to your work and actively strive for learning and developing as a professional
• Fluent written and spoken skills in both English and Finnish (a specific requirement for a big customer project we're working on)

We also consider the following traits beneficial:

• All previous development experience regardless of programming languages, technologies or frameworks  
• Practical experience in deploying software to production  
• Experience in maintaining production environments and problem solving skills.
